One of the reasons this assembly works for all ages, but even for Junior High School age audiences, is that we grab their attention at the outset with an original magic series using real lightning and lightbulbs that light up with no apparent visible means. Then Steffan causes one of the lightbulbs to levitate and dance around the stage.

This video shows the opening series which, when performed live, takes much longer than this short highlights video, and is used to explain and demonstrate what attention is and how we can apply it. This series gets the students involved in the interactive presentation right rom the start.
